It’s Not Over Yet

Today I decided to put my audio visual skills in to practice in the recording of my own podcast. For a while I have been meaning to start a Christian podcast related to mental health and with the skill I have learnt I can now comfortably carry that out. I found myself looking at a range of audio recording options to get a very crispy sound quality. At first I was looking at using two Sennheiser MKE 600 microphones hanging by two boom stands over the two participants in the podcast. The Sennheiser shotgun microphone is one of the best of its kind and could have been a very viable option. This being said, I opted for the use of lapel microphones using the Rose Go II system. The lapel microphones pick up an extremely good sound quality and its Rode counterpart allows for varying control of the gain and other important features. Most importantly the control of the gain prevented our audio from clipping. The shoot went smoothly and the audio produced was of an extremely high quality. I am most definitely proud of the result.
